الترجمة الإنجليزية
Abu Kamil told us, Zuhayr told us, Yahya al-Jabir Abu al-Harith al-Taymi told us, that Abu Majid, a man from Banu Hanifah, told him, saying: Abdullah ibn Mas'ud said: We asked our Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, about the pace of walking with the funeral bier, and he said: "The pace should be less than a trot; if the deceased was righteous, then it is being hastened toward good" — or he said "let it be hastened toward it" — "and if it is other than that, then let it be far from the people of the Fire that they be carried further. The bier is to be followed, not to be followed by others; whoever walks ahead of it is not one of us."
