حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ هُوَ ابْنُ أَبِي خَالِدٍ حَدَّثَنِي قَيْسٌ عَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ كُنَّا نَغْزُو مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَيْسَ لَنَا نِسَاءٌ فَقُلْنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَلَا نَسْتَخْصِي فَنَهَانَا عَنْ ذَلِكَ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Yahya told us: Isma’il, that is, Ibn Abi Khalid, told us: Qays told me, from Ibn Mas’ud, who said: We used to go on military expeditions with the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, without having our wives with us, so we said, "O Messenger of Allah, shall we not castrate ourselves?" So he forbade us from that.
