Hushaym told us: al-Awwam informed us, from Jabalah ibn Suhaym, from Mu'thir ibn Afazah, from Ibn Mas'ud, from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, who said: "On the night I was taken on the Night Journey, I met Ibrahim, Musa, and Isa." He said: "They discussed the matter of the Hour, and referred it to Ibrahim, and he said: 'I have no knowledge of it.' They referred it to Musa, and he said: 'I have no knowledge of it.' They referred it to Isa, and he said: 'As for its coming to pass, none knows it but Allah. But among what my Lord, Mighty and Majestic, entrusted to me is that the Dajjal will emerge.'" He said: "'And I have with me two rods; when he sees me, he will melt as lead melts.'" He said: "'So Allah will destroy him, until even the stone and the tree will say: "O Muslim, there is a disbeliever beneath me, so come and kill him." Then Allah will destroy them, and the people will return to their lands and homes.'" He said: "'At that point Ya'juj and Ma'juj will emerge, rushing down from every elevated place, trampling their lands. They will not come upon anything without destroying it, and will not pass by any water without drinking it. Then the people will return to me and complain of them, so I will pray to Allah against them, and Allah will destroy them and kill them, until the earth stinks from the foul smell of their bodies.'" He said: "'Then Allah, Mighty and Majestic, will send down rain, which will wash away their bodies until it casts them into the sea.'" [The narrator] said: My father missed something here that he did not understand, like a hide - and Yazid, meaning Ibn Harun, said: "Then the mountains will be scattered, and the earth will be stretched out like the stretching of a hide." Then he returned to the hadith of Hushaym: he said: "'So among what my Lord, Mighty and Majestic, entrusted to me is that when that happens, the Hour will be like a woman who is pregnant and at full term, whose family does not know when she will suddenly give birth to them, by night or by day.'"
