الترجمة الإنجليزية
Abd al-Malik ibn Amr and Surayj narrated to us - the meaning is the same. They said: Nafi' ibn Umar, meaning al-Jumahi, narrated to us, from Umayyah ibn Safwan, from Abu Bakr ibn Abi Zuhayr - my father said: both of them said: from Abu Bakr ibn Abi Zuhayr al-Thaqafi - from his father. He said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say at al-Naba'ah or al-Nabawah - Nafi' ibn Umar was uncertain - from al-Ta'if, while he was saying: "O people, you will soon come to know the people of Paradise from the people of the Fire" - or he said: "the best of you from the worst of you." A man from the people said: "By what, O Messenger of Allah?" He said: "By bad reputation and good reputation. You are witnesses of Allah over one another."
