حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْعَلَاءِ الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سَوَّارٍ حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ عَنْ أَبِي حَلْبَسٍ يَزِيدَ بْنِ مَيْسَرَةَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أُمَّ الدَّرْدَاءِ تَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا الدَّرْدَاءِ يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا الْقَاسِمِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ مَا سَمِعْتُهُ يُكَنِّيهِ قَبْلَهَا وَلَا بَعْدَهَا يَقُولُ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ يَقُولُ يَا عِيسَى إِنِّي بَاعِثٌ مِنْ بَعْدِكَ أُمَّةً إِنْ أَصَابَهُمْ مَا يُحِبُّونَ حَمِدُوا اللَّهَ وَشَكَرُوا وَإِنْ أَصَابَهُمْ مَا يَكْرَهُونَ احْتَسَبُوا وَصَبَرُوا وَلَا حِلْمَ وَلَا عِلْمَ قَالَ يَا رَبِّ كَيْفَ هَذَا لَهُمْ وَلَا حِلْمَ وَلَا عِلْمَ قَالَ أُعْطِيهِمْ مِنْ حِلْمِي وَعِلْمِي.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Abu al-Ala' al-Hasan ibn Sawwar narrated to us, Layth narrated to us, from Mu'awiyah, from Abu Halbas Yazid ibn Maysarah. He said: I heard Umm al-Darda' say: I heard Abu al-Darda' say: I heard Abu al-Qasim (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say - and I never heard him use his kunyah before or after that - he said: "Indeed, Allah the Almighty says: 'O Isa (Jesus), I will send after you a nation: if what they love befalls them, they praise Allah and are grateful; and if what they dislike befalls them, they seek reward and are patient, though they have neither forbearance nor knowledge.' He (Isa) said: 'O Lord, how is this for them when they have neither forbearance nor knowledge?' He said: 'I will give them from My forbearance and My knowledge.'"
