حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزٌ حَدَّثَنِي بُكَيْرُ بْنُ أَبِي السُّمَيْطِ حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ أَبِي الْجَعْدِ الْغَطَفَانِيِّ عَنْ مَعْدَانَ بْنِ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ الْيَعْمُرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي الدَّرْدَاءِ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ أَيَعْجِزُ أَحَدُكُمْ أَنْ يَقْرَأَ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ ثُلُثَ الْقُرْآنِ قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ نَحْنُ أَضْعَفُ مِنْ ذَاكَ وَأَعْجَزُ قَالَ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ جَزَّأَ الْقُرْآنَ ثَلَاثَةَ أَجْزَاءٍ فَقُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ جُزْءٌ مِنْ أَجْزَائِهِ و حَدَّثَنَاه عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا أَبَانُ حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ عَنْ سَالِمٍ عَنْ مَعْدَانَ عَنْ أَبِي الدَّرْدَاءِ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ أَيَعْجِزُ أَحَدُكُمْ أَنْ يَقْرَأَ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ قَالَ أَبِي و قَالَ عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا بُكَيْرُ بْنُ أَبِي السُّمَيْطِ بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ بِمِثْلِهِ سَوَاءً.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Bahz narrated to us, Bukayr ibn Abi al-Sumayt narrated to me, Qatadah narrated to us, from Salim ibn Abi al-Ja'd al-Ghatafani, from Ma'dan ibn Abi Talhah al-Ya'muri, from Abu al-Darda', that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Is one of you unable to recite one-third of the Qur'an every day?" They said: "O Messenger of Allah, we are too weak and incapable of that." He said: "Indeed, Allah divided the Qur'an into three parts, and 'Qul Huwallahu Ahad' (Say: He is Allah, the One) is one part of its parts." And Affan narrated it to us, Aban narrated to us, Qatadah narrated to us, from Salim, from Ma'dan, from Abu al-Darda', that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Is one of you unable to recite..." - and he mentioned its meaning. My father said: And Affan said: Bukayr ibn Abi al-Sumayt narrated to us with this chain, with the exact same wording.
