حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَبِي يَزِيدَ عَنْ سِبَاعِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ ثَابِتِ بْنِ سِبَاعٍ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ أُمَّ كُرْزٍ أَخْبَرَتْهُ أَنَّهَا سَأَلَتْ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ الْعَقِيقَةِ فَقَالَ يُعَقُّ عَنْ الْغُلَامِ شَاتَانِ وَعَنْ الْأُنْثَى وَاحِدَةٌ وَلَا يَضُرُّكُمْ أَذُكْرَانًا كُنَّ أَوْ إِنَاثًا حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَبِي يَزِيدَ أَنَّ سِبَاعَ بْنَ ثَابِتِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ ثَابِتِ بْنِ سِبَاعٍ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ أُمَّ كُرْزٍ أَخْبَرَتْهُ أَنَّهَا سَأَلَتْ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ الْعَقِيقَةِ فَذَكَرَهُ.

Abd al-Razzaq told us, he said Ibn Jurayj informed us, he said Ubaydullah ibn Abi Yazid informed me, from Siba' ibn Thabit, that Muhammad ibn Thabit ibn Siba' informed him that Umm Kurz informed him that she asked the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, about the aqiqah, and he said, "Aqiqah is offered for a boy with two sheep, and for a female with one; it does not matter to you whether they are male or female." Muhammad ibn Bakr told us, he said Ibn Jurayj informed us, he said Ubaydullah ibn Abi Yazid informed me that Siba' ibn Thabit ibn Amr, from Muhammad ibn Thabit ibn Siba', informed him that Umm Kurz informed him that she asked the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, about the aqiqah, and he mentioned it.
