حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ وَيَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ قَالَا أَنَا هِشَامٌ عَنْ حَفْصَةَ قَالَتْ حَدَّثَتْنِي أُمُّ عَطِيَّةَ قَالَتْ تُوُفِّيَتْ إِحْدَى بَنَاتِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأَتَانَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ اغْسِلْنَهَا بِسِدْرٍ وَاغْسِلْنَهَا وِتْرًا ثَلَاثًا أَوْ خَمْسًا أَوْ أَكْثَرَ مِنْ ذَلِكَ إِنْ رَأَيْتُنَّ ذَلِكَ وَاجْعَلْنَ فِي الْآخِرَةِ كَافُورًا أَوْ شَيْئًا مِنْ كَافُورٍ فَإِذَا فَرَغْتُنَّ فَآذِنَنَّنِي قَالَتْ فَلَمَّا فَرَغْنَا آذَنَّاهُ فَأَلْقَى إِلَيْنَا حَقْوَهُ فَقَالَ أَشْعِرْنَهَا إِيَّاهُ قَالَتْ أُمُّ عَطِيَّةَ وَضَفَرْنَا رَأْسَ ابْنَةِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ثَلَاثَةَ قُرُونٍ وَأَلْقَيْنَا خَلْفَهَا قَرْنَيْهَا وَنَاصِيَتَهَا.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Yahya ibn Sa'id and Yazid ibn Harun told us, they said: Hisham informed us, from Hafsah, she said: Umm Atiyyah told me, she said: One of the daughters of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) died, and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came to us and said: "Wash her with lote-tree leaves, and wash her an odd number of times, three, or five, or more than that if you see fit, and put camphor, or something of camphor, in the last washing; and when you have finished, inform me." She said: When we finished we informed him, and he threw us his waist-wrapper and said: "Put it next to her skin." Umm Atiyyah said: "And we braided the hair of the daughter of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) into three braids, and we laid her two side-braids and her forelock behind her."
