حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي يَزِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ أَنَّ كُلَيْبَ بْنَ ذُهْلٍ أَخْبَرَهُ عَنْ عُبَيْدٍ يَعْنِي ابْنَ جَبْرٍ قَالَ رَكِبْتُ مَعَ أَبِي بَصْرَةَ الْغِفَارِيِّ صَاحِبِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي سَفِينَةٍ مِنْ الْفُسْطَاطِ فِي رَمَضَانَ فَدَفَعَ ثُمَّ قَرَّبَ غَدَاءَهُ ثُمَّ قَالَ اقْتَرِبْ فَقُلْتُ أَلَسْنَا نَرَى الْبُيُوتَ فَقَالَ أَبُو بَصْرَةَ أَرَغِبْتَ عَنْ سُنَّةِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Abu Abd al-Rahman told us, he said: Sa'id ibn Abi Ayyub told us, he said: Yazid ibn Abi Habib told me that Kulayb ibn Dhuhl informed him, from Ubayd — meaning Ibn Jabr — he said: I rode with Abu Basrah al-Ghifari, a companion of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), in a ship from al-Fustat during Ramadan. He set off, then brought his lunch close and said: "Come near." I said: "Can we not still see the houses?" Abu Basrah said: "Do you dislike the sunnah of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)?"
