الترجمة الإنجليزية
Yahya ibn Sa'id told us, from Isma'il, he said: Qays told us, from Khabbab, he said: We complained to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) while he was reclining on a cloak in the shade of the Ka'bah, and we said: "Will you not seek victory for us from Allah, Mighty and Sublime?" or, "Will you not supplicate for us?" He said: "There was a man among those before you who would be seized, a pit dug for him in the ground, then a saw brought and placed upon his head, and he would be split in two, yet that would not turn him away from his religion. And he would be combed with iron combs, [tearing] what was beneath his bones of flesh or sinew, yet that would not turn him away from his religion. By Allah, Allah will surely complete this matter until a rider travels from Madinah to Hadramawt, fearing none but Allah, Mighty and Sublime, and the wolf over his sheep — but you are impatient."
