Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us: Ma'mar informed us, from al-Zuhri, from Abd al-Rahman ibn Ka'b ibn Malik, from his father, that he said to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, "Allah, Mighty and Majestic, has sent down concerning poetry what He has sent down." He said, "The believer strives with his sword and his tongue; by the One in Whose hand is my soul, it is as though what you hurl at them is a shower of arrows."
