حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ قَالَ أَنْبَأَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ طَلْحَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْحَكَمُ بْنُ عُتَيْبَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ شَدَّادٍ عَنْ أَسْمَاءَ بِنْتِ عُمَيْسٍ قَالَتْ دَخَلَ عَلَيَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْيَوْمَ الثَّالِثَ مِنْ قَتْلِ جَعْفَرٍ فَقَالَ لَا تَحِدِّي بَعْدَ يَوْمِكِ هَذَا.

Yazid narrated to us, he said: Muhammad ibn Talhah informed us, he said: al-Hakam ibn 'Utaybah narrated to us, from 'Abdullah ibn Shaddad, from Asma' bint 'Umays, she said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, entered upon me on the third day after the killing of Ja'far and said: Do not mourn beyond this day of yours.
