الترجمة الإنجليزية
Sufyan bin 'Uyaynah told us, from al-Zuhri, from 'Ubaydullah bin 'Abdullah, from Ibn 'Abbas, from Maymunah, that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, passed by a dead sheep belonging to a freedwoman of Maymunah, and he said: "Why did they not take its hide, tan it, and benefit from it?" They said: "O Messenger of Allah, it is a dead carcass." The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Only its consumption is forbidden." Sufyan said: "I did not hear this phrase except from al-Zuhri: 'its consumption is forbidden.'" My father said: Sufyan said it twice, from Maymunah.
