Ya'qub told us: My father told us, from Ibn Ishaq, who said: Muhammad b. Talha b. Yazid b. Rukanah told me, from Salim b. Abdullah b. Umar, from Abu al-Jarrah, the freed slave of Umm Habibah, from Umm Habibah, that she related to him: I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say: "Were it not that it would be too difficult for my nation, I would have commanded them to use the tooth-stick at every prayer just as they perform ablution."
