حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ قَدِمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَصْحَابُهُ وَقَدْ وَهَنَتْهُمْ حُمَّى يَثْرِبَ قَالَ فَقَالَ الْمُشْرِكُونَ إِنَّهُ يَقْدُمُ عَلَيْكُمْ قَوْمٌ قَدْ وَهَنَتْهُمْ الْحُمَّى قَالَ فَأَطْلَعَ اللَّهُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى ذَلِكَ فَأَمَرَ أَصْحَابَهُ أَنْ يَرْمُلُوا وَقَعَدَ الْمُشْرِكُونَ نَاحِيَةَ الْحَجَرِ يَنْظُرُونَ إِلَيْهِمْ فَرَمَلُوا وَمَشَوْا مَا بَيْنَ الرُّكْنَيْنِ قَالَ فَقَالَ الْمُشْرِكُونَ هَؤُلَاءِ الَّذِينَ تَزْعُمُونَ أَنَّ الْحُمَّى وَهَنَتْهُمْ هَؤُلَاءِ أَقْوَى مِنْ كَذَا وَكَذَا ذَكَرُوا قَوْلَهُمْ قَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ فَلَمْ يَمْنَعْهُ أَنْ يَأْمُرَهُمْ أَنْ يَرْمُلُوا الْأَشْوَاطَ كُلَّهَا إِلَّا إِبْقَاءٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَقَدْ سَمِعْتُ حَمَّادًا يُحَدِّثُهُ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَوْ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ لَا شَكَّ فِيهِ عَنْهُ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) and his Companions arrived (in Makkah for Umrat al-Qada') and the fever of Yathrib had weakened them. The polytheists said: 'There come to you people who have been weakened by the fever.' Allah informed the Prophet (peace be upon him) of this, so he ordered his Companions to jog (raml) during tawaf. The polytheists sat on the side of al-Hijr watching them. They jogged (around three sides) and walked between the two corners (Rukn al-Yamani and the Black Stone). The polytheists said: 'These are the ones you claim the fever weakened? These are stronger than such-and-such!' Ibn Abbas said: 'Nothing prevented him from ordering them to jog all the circuits except out of consideration for them.'
