Narrated to us by Surayj, who said: Abdullah - meaning Ibn Umar - narrated to us, from Salim Abu al-Nadr, from Abu Salamah ibn Abd al-Rahman, from Umm Salamah, who said: "Fatimah came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and said, 'I suffer from istihadah [irregular bleeding].' He said: 'That is not menstruation; it is only from a blood vessel. Let her wait out the days of her normal menstrual periods, then let her wash, then let her bind a cloth, and pray.'"
