Ya'qub narrated to us, he said: My father narrated to us, from Ibn Ishaq: Yahya ibn Abbad ibn Abdullah ibn al-Zubayr narrated to me, from his father, from Aisha, wife of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, who said: We set out with the Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, on one of his journeys, until, when we were at Turban, a place between it and Medina of a day's journey and some miles, and it was a place with no water, and that was toward the last part of the night, a necklace of mine slipped from my neck and fell. So the Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, was held up searching for it until dawn broke, while the people had no water with them. She said: I met from my father such rebuke and scolding as God alone knows, and he said, in every journey there is trouble and hardship for the Muslims because of you. She said: Then God sent down the concession of tayammum (dry ablution). She said: So the people performed tayammum and prayed. She said: My father said, when the concession that God had granted the Muslims came, "By God, I did not know, my little daughter, that you are blessed - see what blessing and ease God has placed for the Muslims through your having detained them."
