الترجمة الإنجليزية
Ali seized some people who had apostatized from Islam and burned them with fire. When Ibn Abbas heard of this, he said: 'Had it been me, I would not have burned them. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: Do not punish anyone with the punishment of Allah the Almighty. And the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: Whoever changes his religion, kill him.' When Ali heard what Ibn Abbas said, he said: 'Woe to the son of Ibn Abbas's mother!'
