حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ وَعَفَّانُ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ مُهَاجِرٍ عَنْ صَفِيَّةَ بِنْتِ شَيْبَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ ذُكِرَتْ نِسَاءُ الْأَنْصَارِ فَأَثْنَتْ عَلَيْهِنَّ وَقَالَتْ لَهُنَّ مَعْرُوفًا وَقَالَتْ لَمَّا نَزَلَتْ سُورَةُ النُّورِ عَمَدْنَ إِلَى حُجَزِ أَوْ حُجُوزِ مَنَاطِقِهِنَّ فَشَقَقْنَهُ ثُمَّ اتَّخَذْنَ مِنْهُ خُمُرًا وَأَنَّهَا دَخَلَتْ امْرَأَةٌ مِنْهُنَّ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَخْبِرْنِي عَنْ الطُّهُورِ مِنْ الْمَحِيضِ فَقَالَ نَعَمْ لِتَأْخُذْ إِحْدَاكُنَّ مَاءَهَا وَسِدْرَتَهَا فَلْتَطَّهَّرْ ثُمَّ لِتُحْسِنْ الطُّهُورَ ثُمَّ تَصُبَّ عَلَى رَأْسِهَا ثُمَّ لِتُلْزِقْ بِشُؤُونِ رَأْسِهَا ثُمَّ تَدْلُكْهُ فَإِنَّ ذَلِكَ طُهُورٌ ثُمَّ تَصُبَّ عَلَيْهَا مِنْ الْمَاءِ ثُمَّ تَأْخُذْ فِرْصَةً مُمَسَّكَةً فَلْتَطَّهَّرْ بِهَا قَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ كَيْفَ أَتَطَهَّرُ بِهَا فَكَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُكْنِي عَنْ ذَلِكَ فَقَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ تَتْبَعُ بِهَا أَثَرَ الدَّمِ قَالَ عَفَّانُ ثُمَّ لِتَصُبَّ عَلَى رَأْسِهَا مِنْ الْمَاءِ وَلْتُلْصِقْ شُؤُونَ رَأْسِهَا فَلْتَدْلُكْهُ قَالَ عَفَّانُ إِلَى حُجَزٍ أَوْ حُجُوزٍ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Abd al-Rahman and Affan narrated to us, they said: Abu Awanah narrated to us from Ibrahim ibn Muhajir from Safiyyah bint Shaybah from Aisha, who said: The women of the Ansar were mentioned, and she praised them and spoke well of them, and said: When Surat al-Nur was revealed, they went to the waist-wrappers of their sashes and tore them, then made head-coverings out of them. And a woman among them entered upon the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and said: 'O Messenger of Allah, tell me about purification from menstruation.' He said: 'Yes - let one of you take her water and her lotus-leaf paste, then purify herself and do the purification well; then let her pour it over her head and press it into the roots of her hair and rub it, for that is purification; then let her pour water over herself, then take a musk-scented cloth and purify herself with it.' She said: 'O Messenger of Allah, how do I purify myself with it?' The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, would allude to such matters indirectly, so Aisha said: 'Follow with it the trace of the blood.' Affan said: 'Then let her pour water over her head and press the roots of her hair and rub it.' Affan said: 'to the waist-wrappers.'
