Muhammad ibn Ubayd told us: Muhammad - meaning ibn Ishaq - told us, from Imran, from Abu Salamah, from Aisha, she said: Safiyyah bint Huyayy began her menstrual period while she was with the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, at Mina, after she had performed the tawaf of ifadah. She said: Then when it was the day of departure, that was mentioned to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and he said, "Perhaps she will detain us." He said: It was said, "O Messenger of Allah, she has indeed already performed tawaf of the House." He said, "Then let her depart."
