قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ شَدَّادٍ عَنْ أَبِي عُذْرَةَ وَكَانَ قَدْ أَدْرَكَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى الرِّجَالَ وَالنِّسَاءَ عَنْ الْحَمَّامَاتِ ثُمَّ رَخَّصَ لِلرِّجَالِ فِي الْمَيَازِرِ.

He said: Abd al-Rahman told us, he said: Hammad ibn Salamah told us, from Abdullah ibn Shaddad, from Abu Udhrah - who had reached the time of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him - from Aisha: that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, forbade men and women from public bathhouses, then granted permission to men to use them with waist-wrappers.
