حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ أَخْبَرَنَا مُغِيرَةُ عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا اسْتَرَاثَ الْخَبَرَ تَمَثَّلَ فِيهِ بِبَيْتِ طَرَفَةَ وَيَأْتِيكَ بِالْأَخْبَارِ مَنْ لَمْ تُزَوِّدِ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Aisha said: When the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) found news slow in coming, he would quote in reference to it the line of the poet Tarafah: "He who is not provided with supplies will still bring you the news."
