حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ جَعْفَرٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي شَرِيكٌ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي عَتِيقٍ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ فِي الْعَجْوَةِ الْعَالِيَةِ شِفَاءٌ أَوْ إِنَّهَا تِرْيَاقٌ أَوَّلَ الْبُكْرَةِ.

Sulayman ibn Dawud told us: Isma'il, meaning ibn Ja'far, told us: Sharik informed me, from Abdullah ibn Abi Atiq, from A'ishah, that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said concerning the ajwah dates of al-Aliyah: they are a cure - or he said they are an antidote - taken first thing in the morning.
