حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى عَنْ مُجَالِدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي عَامِرٌ عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ قَالَ قُلْتُ لِعَائِشَةَ هَلْ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ شَيْئًا إِذَا دَخَلَ الْبَيْتَ قَالَتْ كَانَ إِذَا دَخَلَ الْبَيْتَ تَمَثَّلَ لَوْ كَانَ لِابْنِ آدَمَ وَادِيَانِ مِنْ مَالٍ لَابْتَغَى وَادِيًا ثَالِثًا وَلَا يَمْلَأُ فَمَهُ إِلَّا التُّرَابُ وَمَا جَعَلْنَا الْمَالَ إِلَّا لِإِقَامِ الصَّلَاةِ وَإِيتَاءِ الزَّكَاةِ وَيَتُوبُ اللَّهُ عَلَى مَنْ تَابَ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Masruq said: "I asked Aisha: 'Did the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) say anything when he entered the house?' She said: 'When he entered the house, he would recite: If the son of Adam had two valleys of wealth, he would seek a third, and nothing fills his mouth except dust. We have not been given wealth except for establishing prayer and giving zakat. And Allah accepts the repentance of whoever repents.'"
