الترجمة الإنجليزية
Aisha said: "When Abu Bakr became seriously ill, he asked: 'What day is this?' They said: 'Monday.' He said: 'What day did the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) die?' They said: 'He died on Monday.' He said: 'I hope (to die) between now and tonight.' He was wearing a garment stained with saffron. He said: 'When I die, wash this garment of mine and add two new garments to it, and shroud me in three garments.' We said: 'Should we not make them all new?' He said: 'No, the living person is more in need of new clothes (than the dead). This is only for the body's fluids.' She said: 'He died on Tuesday night.'"
