حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ قَالَ أَنْبَأَنَا سُفْيَانُ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ أَخُو سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ كَثِيرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى عَنْ رَجُلٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ فَضَالَةَ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ أَنَّهُمْ كَانُوا مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي غَزَاةٍ قَالَ وَفِينَا مَمْلُوكِينَ فَلَا يَقْسِمُ لَهُمْ.

Abdullah bin al-Walid narrated to us, who said: Sufyan and Muhammad bin Kathir, brother of Sulayman bin Kathir, informed us — he said: Sufyan narrated to us, from Ibn Abi Layla, from a man, from his father, from Fadalah bin Ubayd, that they were with the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, in a raid. He said: And among us were enslaved men, so no share was allotted to them.
