حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ أَبُو دَاوُدَ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ عُبَادَةَ أَنَّهُ أَتَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ إِنَّ أُمِّي مَاتَتْ وَعَلَيْهَا نَذْرٌ أَفَيُجْزِئُ عَنْهَا أَنْ أُعْتِقَ عَنْهَا قَالَ أَعْتِقْ عَنْ أُمِّكَ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Affan narrated to us: Sulayman ibn Kathir Abu Dawud narrated to us from al-Zuhri from Ubaydullah ibn Abdullah from Ibn Abbas from Sa'd ibn Ubada, that he came to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and said: "My mother has died, and she had a vow upon her - will it suffice on her behalf if I free a slave for her?" He said, "Free [a slave] on behalf of your mother."
