'Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us, Ma'mar informed us from Ibn Khuthaym from Abu al-Tufayl, and he mentioned the building of the Ka'ba in the pre-Islamic period. He said: Quraysh had demolished it and set about building it with stones from the valley, which Quraysh carried upon their necks, and they raised it in the air twenty cubits. While the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, was carrying stones from Ajyad, wearing a striped garment, the garment became too tight for him, so he went to put it on his shoulder, but his private area could be seen because the garment was small. Then it was called out, "O Muhammad, cover your nakedness!" And he was never seen naked after that.
