حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ أَنْبَأَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ زَيْدٍ عَنْ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ النَّهْدِيِّ عَنْ سَلْمَانَ قَالَ كَاتَبْتُ أَهْلِي عَلَى أَنْ أَغْرِسَ لَهُمْ خَمْسَ مِائَةِ فَسِيلَةٍ فَإِذَا عَلِقَتْ فَأَنَا حُرٌّ قَالَ فَأَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَذَكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ لَهُ قَالَ اغْرِسْ وَاشْتَرِطْ لَهُمْ فَإِذَا أَرَدْتَ أَنْ تَغْرِسَ فَآذِنِّي قَالَ فَآذَنْتُهُ قَالَ فَجَاءَ فَجَعَلَ يَغْرِسُ بِيَدِهِ إِلَّا وَاحِدَةً غَرَسْتُهَا بِيَدَيَّ فَعَلِقْنَ إِلَّا الْوَاحِدَةَ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Affan told us: Hammad ibn Salamah told us: Ali ibn Zayd informed us, from Abu Uthman al-Nahdi, from Salman, who said: I made an agreement with my household that I would plant for them five hundred date-palm shoots, and when they took root, I would be free. He said: So I came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and mentioned that to him. He said: "Plant them, and set the condition for them, and when you want to plant, let me know." So I let him know, and he came and began planting with his own hand, except one, which I planted with my own hands, and they all took root except that one.
