حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ أَخْبَرَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبِي قَالَ كُنْتُ جَالِسًا إِلَى جَنْبِ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ فَمَرَّ شَيْخٌ جَمِيلٌ مِنْ بَنِي غِفَارٍ وَفِي أُذُنَيْهِ صَمَمٌ أَوْ قَالَ وَقْرٌ أَرْسَلَ إِلَيْهِ حُمَيْدٌ فَلَمَّا أَقْبَلَ قَالَ يَا ابْنَ أَخِي أَوْسِعْ لَهُ فِيمَا بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَكَ فَإِنَّهُ قَدْ صَحِبَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَجَاءَ حَتَّى جَلَسَ فِيمَا بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَهُ فَقَالَ لَهُ حُمَيْدٌ هَذَا الْحَدِيثُ الَّذِي حَدَّثْتَنِي عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ الشَّيْخُ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ يُنْشِئُ السَّحَابَ فَيَنْطِقُ أَحْسَنَ الْمَنْطِقِ وَيَضْحَكُ أَحْسَنَ الضَّحِكِ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Yazid told us: Ibrahim ibn Sa'd informed us: My father informed me, he said: I was sitting beside Humayd ibn Abd al-Rahman in the mosque when a handsome elderly man from Banu Ghifar passed by, having deafness or heaviness in his ears. Humayd sent for him, and when he came, he said: "O son of my brother, make room for him between me and you, for he has kept the company of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)." So he came and sat between me and him. Humayd said to him: "This hadith which you related to me from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)." The elder said: "I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: 'Allah, Mighty and Sublime, brings forth the clouds, and they speak in the best of speech and laugh in the best of laughter.'"
