حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرٌو عَنْ عَاصِمٍ عَنْ مَحْمُودِ بْنِ لَبِيدٍ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِذَا أَحَبَّ اللَّهُ قَوْمًا ابْتَلَاهُمْ فَمَنْ صَبَرَ فَلَهُ الصَّبْرُ وَمَنْ جَزِعَ فَلَهُ الْجَزَعُ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
It was narrated from Mahmud b. Labid: that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "When Allah loves a people, He puts them to trial; whoever bears it patiently has the reward of patience, and whoever despairs has [only] the burden of despair."
