حَدَّثَنَا سُرَيْجٌ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْحَارِثِ عَنْ بُكَيْرٍ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ تِعْلَى قَالَ غَزَوْنَا مَعَ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ خَالِدِ بْنِ الْوَلِيدِ فَأُتِيَ بِأَرْبَعَةِ أَعْلَاجٍ مِنْ الْعَدُوِّ فَأَمَرَ بِهِمْ فَقُتِلُوا صَبْرًا بِالنَّبْلِ فَبَلَغَ ذَلِكَ أَبَا أَيُّوبَ فَقَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَنْهَى عَنْ قَتْلِ الصَّبْرِ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Ubayd b. Ti'la said: We went on campaign with Abd al-Rahman b. Khalid b. al-Walid, and four captives were brought from the enemy; he ordered them to be shot to death with arrows while held captive. This reached Abu Ayyub, who said, "I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, forbid killing captives in this manner."
