حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ حَدَّثَنِي بَعْضُ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ أَنَّ الْمُشْرِكِينَ أَخَذُوهُ وَأَبَاهُ فَأَخَذُوا عَلَيْهِمْ أَنْ لَا يُقَاتِلُوهُمْ يَوْمَ بَدْرٍ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَوَالِهِمْ وَنَسْتَعِينُ اللَّهَ عَلَيْهِمْ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Abd al-Rahman narrated to us, from Sufyan, from Abu Ishaq: one of our companions narrated to me, from Hudhayfah, that the polytheists seized him and his father, and took a pledge from them that they would not fight them on the day of Badr. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "Fulfill your pledge to them, and we shall seek Allah's help against them."
