Husayn b. Muhammad told us, Isra'il told us, from Maysarah b. Habib, from al-Minhal b. 'Amr, from Zirr b. Hubaysh, from Hudhayfah, he said: My mother asked me: "How long has it been since you were with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)?" I said to her: "Since such-and-such." He said: So she rebuked and cursed me. He said: I said to her: "Leave me be, for I will go to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and pray Maghrib with him, and I will not leave him until he asks forgiveness for me and for you." He said: So I came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and prayed Maghrib with him. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) prayed 'Isha', then he turned away, and I followed him. Something presented itself to him, and it spoke privately to him, then it went away, and I followed him. He heard my voice and said: "Who is this?" I said: "Hudhayfah." He said: "What is the matter with you?" So I told him the matter, and he said: "May God forgive you and your mother." Then he said: "Did you not see the thing that presented itself to me a little while ago?" I said: "Yes." He said: "That was an angel among the angels who had never descended to the earth before this night; he sought his Lord's permission to greet me and to give me the good news that al-Hasan and al-Husayn are the two masters of the youths of the people of Paradise, and that Fatimah is the mistress of the women of the people of Paradise - may God be pleased with them."
