حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ بْنِ سَهْلِ بْنِ حُنَيْفٍ عَنْ بَعْضِ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَيْنَا أَنَا نَائِمٌ رَأَيْتُ النَّاسَ يُعْرَضُونَ عَلَيَّ وَعَلَيْهِمْ قُمُصٌ مِنْهَا مَا يَبْلُغُ الثَّدْيَ وَفِيهَا مَا يَبْلُغُ أَسْفَلَ مِنْ ذَلِكَ فَعُرِضَ عَلَيَّ عُمَرُ وَعَلَيْهِ قَمِيصٌ يَجُرُّهُ قَالُوا فَمَا أَوَّلْتَ ذَاكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ الدِّينُ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Abd ar-Razzaq told us: Ma'mar informed us, from az-Zuhri, from Abu Umama ibn Sahl ibn Hunayf, from one of the Companions of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, who said: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: While I was sleeping, I saw people being presented to me, wearing shirts, some reaching to the chest and some reaching below that. Umar was presented to me wearing a shirt that he was dragging. They said, "What did you interpret that as, O Messenger of Allah?" He said: Religion.
