Abd ar-Rahman ibn Mahdi told us: Isra'il told us, from Uthman ibn al-Mughira, from Salim ibn Abi al-Ja'd, from Abdullah ibn Muhammad Ibn al-Hanafiyya, who said: I entered with my father upon a relative by marriage of ours from among the Ansar, and the time for prayer came, and he said, "O servant girl, bring me water for ablution, that I may pray and find rest." He noticed that we found that objectionable, so he said: I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say: Get up, O Bilal, and give us rest with the prayer.
