حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي عَنْ ابْنِ إِسْحَاقَ حَدَّثَنِي عُمَرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ عُرْوَةَ عَمَّنْ حَدَّثَهُ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَأْمُرُنَا أَنْ نَصْنَعَ الْمَسَاجِدَ فِي دُورِنَا وَأَنْ نُصْلِحَ صَنْعَتَهَا وَنُطَهِّرَهَا.

Ya'qub told us: My father told us, from Ibn Ishaq: Umar ibn Abdullah ibn Urwa ibn az-Zubayr told me, from his grandfather Urwa, from someone among the Companions of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, who told him, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, used to command us to make mosques in our homes, to keep their construction sound, and to purify them.
