حَدَّثَنَا زَيْدُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ حَدَّثَنِي حُسَيْنُ بْنُ وَاقِدٍ حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ بُرَيْدَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَقْرَأُ فِي صَلَاةِ الْعِشَاءِ بِالشَّمْسِ وَضُحَاهَا وَأَشْبَاهِهَا مِنْ السُّوَرِ.

Zayd ibn al-Hubab told us: Husayn ibn Waqid told me: Abdullah ibn Buraydah told me, from his father: that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, used to recite in the night prayer (Isha) Surat 'By the Sun and its Morning Brightness' and similar surahs.
