حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ عَنْ أَبِي دَاوُدَ الْأَعْمَى عَنْ بُرَيْدَةَ الْخُزَاعِيِّ قَالَ قُلْنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَدْ عَلِمْنَا كَيْفَ نُسَلِّمُ عَلَيْكَ فَكَيْفَ نُصَلِّي عَلَيْكَ قَالَ قُولُوا اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْ صَلَوَاتِكَ وَرَحْمَتَكَ وَبَرَكَاتِكَ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَى آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ كَمَا جَعَلْتَهَا عَلَى إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَعَلَى آلِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ إِنَّكَ حَمِيدٌ مَجِيدٌ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Yazid ibn Harun told us: Isma'il informed us, from Abu Dawud al-A'ma, from Buraydah al-Khuza'i, who said: We said, O Messenger of Allah, we already know how to greet you with salam, so how should we send blessings upon you? He said: Say: O Allah, place Your blessings, mercy and grace upon Muhammad and upon the family of Muhammad, as You placed them upon Ibrahim and the family of Ibrahim; indeed You are Praiseworthy, Glorious.
