حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ حَدَّثَنَا بَشِيرُ بْنُ مُهَاجِرٍ حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ بُرَيْدَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ كُنْتُ جَالِسًا عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَسَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ إِنَّ أُمَّتِي يَسُوقُهَا قَوْمٌ عِرَاضُ الْأَوْجُهِ صِغَارُ الْأَعْيُنِ كَأَنَّ وُجُوهَهُمْ الْحَجَفُ ثَلَاثَ مِرَارٍ حَتَّى يُلْحِقُوهُمْ بِجَزِيرَةِ الْعَرَبِ أَمَّا السَّابِقَةُ الْأُولَى فَيَنْجُو مَنْ هَرَبَ مِنْهُمْ وَأَمَّا الثَّانِيَةُ فَيَهْلِكُ بَعْضٌ وَيَنْجُو بَعْضٌ وَأَمَّا الثَّالِثَةُ فَيُصْطَلُونَ كُلُّهُمْ مَنْ بَقِيَ مِنْهُمْ قَالُوا يَا نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ مَنْ هُمْ قَالَ هُمْ التُّرْكُ قَالَ أَمَا وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ لَيَرْبِطُنَّ خُيُولَهُمْ إِلَى سَوَارِي مَسَاجِدِ الْمُسْلِمِينَ قَالَ وَكَانَ بُرَيْدَةُ لَا يُفَارِقُهُ بَعِيرَانِ أَوْ ثَلَاثَةٌ وَمَتَاعُ السَّفَرِ وَالْأَسْقِيَةُ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ لِلْهَرَبِ مِمَّا سَمِعَ مِنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ الْبَلَاءِ مِنْ أُمَرَاءِ التُّرْكِ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Abu Nu'aym narrated to us: Bashir ibn Muhajir narrated to us: 'Abdullah ibn Buraydah narrated to me, from his father, who said: I was sitting with the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and I heard the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, say, 'My nation will indeed be driven by a people with broad faces and small eyes, as though their faces were layered shields' — three times — 'until they catch up with them at the Arabian Peninsula. As for the first wave, whoever flees from them will be saved. As for the second, some will perish and some will be saved. As for the third, all who remain of them will be consumed together.' They said, 'O Prophet of Allah, who are they?' He said, 'They are the Turks.' He said, 'By the One in Whose hand is my soul, they will indeed tie their horses to the pillars of the mosques of the Muslims.' He [the narrator] said: And Buraydah never afterward parted from two or three camels, travel provisions, and waterskins, for fear of the calamity he had heard from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, concerning the rulers of the Turks.
