Ibn Idris narrated to us: Ibn Ishaq narrated to us, from al-Zuhri, from Sahl ibn Sa'd al-Sa'idi, who said: When Uwaymir, the brother of Banu al-Ajlan, performed the mutual imprecation with his wife, he said: O Messenger of Allah, I would wrong her if I kept her — she is divorced, she is divorced, she is divorced. Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us: Ma'mar narrated to us, from Abu Hazim, from Sahl ibn Sa'd, who said: I heard him relate that a woman came to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him — and he mentioned the hadith — he said: Do you recite anything of the Qur'an? He said: Yes. He said: What? He said: Such-and-such surah, and such-and-such surah, and such-and-such surah. He said: Then I have given her to you in marriage for what you know of the Qur'an. He said: Then I saw him walking away, with her following him.
