Abdullah told us: Abd al-Wahid ibn Ghiyath and Ibrahim ibn al-Hajjaj an-Naji told us, both said: Hammad ibn Salamah told us, from Jabalah ibn 'Atiyyah, from Yahya ibn al-Walid ibn 'Ubadah ibn as-Samit, from 'Ubadah ibn as-Samit, that the Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Whoever fights — Ibrahim said in his narration: in the way of God, Mighty and Majestic — and intends in his fighting nothing but the value of a rope's worth of gain, then he shall have what he intended.
