حَدَّثَنَا مَخْلَدُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ الْحَرَّانِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ عَنْ يَحْيَى يَعْنِي ابْنَ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ فَارِسِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَقْرَأُ فِي الرَّكْعَتَيْنِ الْأُولَيَيْنِ مِنْ الظُّهْرِ وَالْعَصْرِ بِفَاتِحَةِ الْكِتَابِ وَسُورَةٍ وَفِي الرَّكْعَتَيْنِ بِفَاتِحَةِ الْكِتَابِ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Makhlad ibn Yazid al-Harrani narrated to us, al-Awza'i narrated to us, from Yahya - meaning Ibn Abi Kathir - from 'Abdullah ibn Qatadah, from his father Abu Qatadah, the horseman of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), that he used to recite in the first two rak'ahs of Zuhr and 'Asr the Opening of the Book and a surah, and in the (last) two rak'ahs the Opening of the Book.
