حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ عَنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ سَيْفٍ عَنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ غُطَيْفٍ أَوْ غُطَيْفِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ قَالَ مَا نَسِيتُ مِنْ الْأَشْيَاءِ لَمْ أَنْسَ أَنِّي رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَاضِعًا يَمِينَهُ عَلَى شِمَالِهِ فِي الصَّلَاةِ.

Hisham ibn 'Abd al-Malik narrated to us, Shu'bah narrated to us, 'Ali ibn Mudrik informed me, he said: I heard Abu Zur'ah narrating from 'Abdullah ibn Nujayy, from his father, who said: 'Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I had a certain time at night with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) that no one else had. I used to come to him every night, and if he was praying, he would say the tasbih and I would enter, and if he was not praying, he would give me permission.
