حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ وَيَعْلَى قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ أَبِي الْجَعْدِ عَنْ ثَوْبَانَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ اسْتَقِيمُوا وَلَنْ تُحْصُوا وَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّ خَيْرَ أَعْمَالِكُمْ الصَّلَاةُ وَلَا يُحَافِظُ عَلَى الْوُضُوءِ إِلَّا مُؤْمِنٌ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Waki' and Ya'la narrated to us, they said: Al-A'mash narrated to us, from Salim ibn Abi al-Ja'd, from Thawban, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Be steadfast, though you will not be able to encompass all good deeds, and know that the best of your deeds is the prayer, and none maintains ablution except a believer."
