حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ حَدَّثَنَا مَرْزُوقٌ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الشَّامِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ الشَّامِ حَدَّثَنَا ثَوْبَانُ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِذَا أَصَابَ أَحَدَكُمْ الْحُمَّى وَإِنَّ الْحُمَّى قِطْعَةٌ مِنْ النَّارِ فَلْيُطْفِئْهَا عَنْهُ بِالْمَاءِ الْبَارِدِ وَلْيَسْتَقْبِلْ نَهَرًا جَارِيًا يَسْتَقْبِلُ جِرْيَةَ الْمَاءِ فَيَقُولُ بِسْمِ اللَّهِ اللَّهُمَّ اشْفِ عَبْدَكَ وَصَدِّقْ رَسُولَكَ بَعْدَ صَلَاةِ الْفَجْرِ قَبْلَ طُلُوعِ الشَّمْسِ فَيَغْتَمِسُ فِيهِ ثَلَاثَ غَمَسَاتٍ ثَلَاثَةَ أَيَّامٍ فَإِنْ لَمْ يَبْرَأْ فِي ثَلَاثٍ فَخَمْسٍ فَإِنْ لَمْ يَبْرَأْ فِي خَمْسٍ فَسَبْعٍ فَإِنْ لَمْ يَبْرَأْ فِي سَبْعٍ فَتِسْعٍ فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَكَادُ يُجَاوِزُ التِّسْعَ بِإِذْنِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Rawh narrated to us, Marzuq Abu 'Abdullah al-Shami narrated to us, Sa'id, a man from the people of Sham, narrated to us, Thawban narrated to us, from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), who said: "When one of you is afflicted with a fever — and indeed fever is a piece of the Fire — let him extinguish it with cold water. Let him face a flowing river and face the direction of the water's flow, and say: 'In the name of Allah, O Allah, heal Your servant and verify Your Messenger,' after the Fajr prayer before sunrise. Then let him immerse himself in it three times for three days. If he is not cured in three days, then five. If he is not cured in five, then seven. If he is not cured in seven, then nine, for it will hardly go beyond nine, by the permission of Allah the Mighty and Majestic."
