Abdullah told us, my father told me, al-Muqri' told us, Haywah told us, he said: I heard 'Uqbah ibn Muslim al-Tujibi say: Abu Abd al-Rahman al-Hubuli narrated to me, from al-Sunabihi, from Mu'adh ibn Jabal, that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, took his hand one day and said, "O Mu'adh, I truly love you." Mu'adh said to him, "May my father and mother be sacrificed for you, O Messenger of Allah, and I love you too." He said, "I advise you, O Mu'adh, do not fail, at the end of every prayer, to say: 'O Allah, help me to remember You, to give thanks to You, and to worship You in the best manner.'" He said: And Mu'adh enjoined this upon al-Sunabihi, and al-Sunabihi enjoined it upon Abu Abd al-Rahman, and Abu Abd al-Rahman enjoined it upon 'Uqbah ibn Muslim.
