حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْمُثَنَّى حَدَّثَنَا الْبَرَاءُ الْغَنَوِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ عَنْ مُعَاذِ بْنِ جَبَلٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ تَلَا هَذِهِ الْآيَةَ { أَصْحَابُ الْيَمِينِ } { وَأَصْحَابُ الشِّمَالِ } فَقَبَضَ بِيَدَيْهِ قَبْضَتَيْنِ فَقَالَ هَذِهِ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَلَا أُبَالِي وَهَذِهِ فِي النَّارِ وَلَا أُبَالِي.

Abdullah told us, my father told me, Muhammad ibn Abdullah ibn al-Muthanna told us, al-Bara' al-Ghanawi told us, al-Hasan told us, from Mu'adh ibn Jabal, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, recited this verse: {The companions of the right} {and the companions of the left}, and he grasped with his two hands two handfuls, and said, "This one is for Paradise, and I do not care, and this one is for the Fire, and I do not care."
