Abdullah told us, my father told me, Ali ibn Ishaq told us, Abdullah informed us, Yahya ibn Ayyub informed us, that Ubaydullah ibn Zahr told him, from Khalid ibn Abi Imran, from Abu Ayyash, who said: Mu'adh ibn Jabal said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "If you wish, I will inform you of the first thing Allah, Mighty and Majestic, will say to the believers on the Day of Resurrection, and the first thing they will say to Him." We said, "Yes, O Messenger of Allah." He said, "Allah, Mighty and Majestic, will say to the believers, 'Did you love meeting Me?' They will say, 'Yes, our Lord.' He will say, 'Why?' They will say, 'We hoped for Your pardon and Your forgiveness.' He will say, 'My forgiveness has become due for you.'"
