Affan and Hasan ibn Musa told us, they said: Hammad ibn Salamah told us, from Ali ibn Zayd — Hasan said in his narration: Ali ibn Zayd informed us — from Abu al-Malih — Hasan said: al-Hudhali — from Rawh ibn Abid, from Abu al-Awwam, from Mu'adh ibn Jabal, who said: I was riding behind the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, on a red camel, and he said: O Mu'adh. I said: Here I am. He said: Do you know what is the right of Allah upon His servants? He said it three times, and I said the same three times. Then he said: His right, Mighty and Majestic, is that they worship Him and not associate anything with Him. Then he said: Do you know what is the right of the servants upon Allah if they do that? I said: Allah and His Messenger know best — he said it three times, and I said the same three times. He said: Their right upon Him, if they do that, is that He will forgive them and admit them into Paradise.
